Q: What can my assistant change in EchoAnswers?

Once you connect and approve access, it can link or start your shop, set hours, greeting, forwarding number, knowledge, closed dates, and read shop status, schedule, bookings, and contacts. It cannot take you live, charge a card, or place a preview call.

Q: Is the MCP endpoint live for every shop today?

Yes. The endpoint is https://dashboard.echoanswers.ai/mcp, and it is live for any EchoAnswers owner. Create an account, sign in, and approve access. There is no per-shop wait.

What you get

Once you connect and approve access, your assistant works as you. It can fill in the shop details you would otherwise type in the dashboard. It cannot flip you live or touch billing.

link_shop / create_shop: attach your existing shop, or start setup (onboarding only).
set_hours: weekly open hours.
set_greeting: the line callers hear (and optional receptionist name / voice).
set_forwarding_number: where to transfer or forward missed calls.
add_knowledge / upload_shop_file: FAQs, a menu or PDF, or import from your website.
get_shop / get_schedule: read current hours, greeting, routes, and booking flags.
set_closed_dates, list_bookings, check_availability: closed dates and first-party openings.
list_contacts / get_contact_timeline: your caller roster and one contact's history.

Add a connector and paste the MCP URL.
Complete the EchoAnswers sign-in and Allow screen.

ChatGPT

Use ChatGPT on the web (not mobile) on a paid plan: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu. Free ChatGPT cannot add a custom MCP connector. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each write action per conversation. That is normal, not an error.

Open ChatGPT on the web while signed in on a paid plan.
Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → toggle Developer Mode. If the toggle is not there, check Settings → Security and login. OpenAI has moved it between those two places.
Settings → Apps & Connectors → Create. Name: EchoAnswers. Connector URL: https://dashboard.echoanswers.ai/mcp. Authentication: OAuth.
Complete the EchoAnswers sign-in and Allow screen.
On Business or Enterprise, a workspace admin may need to enable custom connectors first.

Add the remote MCP server from Cursor Settings. The mcp.json snippet below is the alternative if you edit config by hand.

Open Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server, and paste the MCP URL.

Approve access in the browser when Cursor starts OAuth.

Grok

Add a Custom connector at grok.com/connectors. The connector is account-scoped: set it up once on the web and it works in the Grok app on every signed-in device (web, desktop, phone). Grok is not your EchoAnswers login. You still sign in on EchoAnswers.

Go to grok.com/connectors.
Click New Connector, then Custom.
Name: EchoAnswers. Server URL: https://dashboard.echoanswers.ai/mcp (exactly — no trailing slash, and never an /oauth path).
If an "OAuth Credentials Required" screen appears, leave Client Secret blank. The endpoint supports dynamic client registration and PKCE and self-discovers.
Complete the EchoAnswers sign-in and Allow screen.
